In general, the faster the machine, the more memory (RAM) and the more recent the video card, the smoother the game runs.
Other Applications
Running other power-hungry or memory-gobbling applications while playing can cause Solitaire to play in a choppy or interrupted fashion. Please quit out or pause such applications while playing.
Window Size
Reducing the size of the Solitaire window may result in smoother play.
Hiding & Minimizing
If you Hide or Minimize the Solitaire window, no processing power will be used. The current game is paused.
